Summer in Italy

It just so happened that the cheapest way back to Denmark from Morocco was through Italy. Since Italy happens to be the single most enjoyable place in which to pass summers in the entire world, we stretched our stopover as long as my fast-expiring Schengen visa would allow.  Our five days were split couchsurfing with our good friends the Michelis in Fosdinovo and camping across the lagoon from Venice. It wasn't nearly enough time to visit everyone I'd like to have seen, but just enough to remind me why I'll keep coming back to this country for the rest of my life.
